Scope

• Partner with scientists in discovery and development functions to
  guide and facilitate decision-making process in early drug development

• Provide scientific leadership in early drug development arena
    • Assure science- and data-based approaches to critical questions
        -Basic sciences, preclinical sciences (toxicology/ ADME/ CMC), early clinical medicine
    • Avoid unnecessary studies at wrong time

• Define critical questions for research efforts and guide robust
  experimental approach to these questions
    • Definition of creative, robust approaches to resolution of difficult preclinical toxicology/
       ADME questions
    • Development of creative, robust approaches to rapid demonstration of POC/POA in patients
